Millican's services
are available across the Federal Government to address important
information and records issues beyond Y2K through GSA's Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) Contract.
In the spirit of MOBIS, Millican's services focus on improving organizational
performance through improved capture, organization, protection,
retrieval, use, and ultimate disposition of your information and
records resources. Current key issues addressed are:
• Adapting DoD 5015.2-STD,
Design Criteria Standard for Electronic Records Management, to
your organization
• Developing responses
to NARA's Bulletin 99-04, "Scheduling electronic copies of
program records and administrative records not covered by the
General Records Schedule"
• Performing needs
assessments and developing strategic plans for addressing multimedia,
including electronic, records beyond the paper based world
• Adapting your information
resource program to the broader aspects of multimedia
• Mapping multimedia
record holdings and developing/updating retention and disposition
schedules
• Establishing or updating
file patterns across an organization, an absolute necessity for
effectively managing electronic records
• Reengineering processes
to merge disparate paper and electronic record keeping programs
and facilitating the required organizational changes
• Developing functional
specifications for Electronic Document Management Systems and
Records Management Applications and supporting system selection
• Providing training
on current multimedia record keeping requirements and practices
